Here's the before and after effects of an image that I edited in Adobe Photoshop. I wanted to make the colours of the flower pop and therefore be more vibrant. In order to do this I turned the saturation and vibrancy up. I decided not to mess with the temperature of the photo because even though it looks nice warmer I decided that I didn't want that effect in the end. Here's the before and after effects of another image that I have edited in Adobe Photoshop. I wanted to make the photo look dramatic and depressing to fit the mood of the pose. To do this i clicked on image, followed by clicking on adjustments and then black and white. I then added contrast to add more depth to the image. Here's the before and after effects of another image that I have edited in Adobe Photoshop. In changing this photo black and white I also wanted to atmosphere to the photo by making shapes pop which in turn makes the it look more cartoon like. To get this effect I turned most of the colours up to 300%. Here's the before and after effects of another image that I have edited in Adobe Photoshop. I changed this photo to black and white and due to our poses the photo looks naturally dramatic. I also used the spot healing tool on Amber's face to add perfection to this atmospheric shot. Here's the before and after effects of another image that I have edited in Adobe Photoshop. So far most of the other photos that I have changed into black and white have been been people so now I decided to use a nature shot. There is a shallow depth of field, it also includes bokeh. I wanted to show the detailing on the leaf by showing every crease and shadow. I managed to successfully do so while highlighting the flares. To get this effect I changed to reds to 60%, yellows to 24%, greens to 116%, cyans to 300% and left the magentas at 80%. Here's the before and after effects of another image that I have edited in Adobe Photoshop. With most of my other photos I have just turned them black and white and adjusted the colour settings accordingly however with this one I have used selective colour. I just focused on one pumpkin, I wanted it to look a little natural; here it looks sprayed painted. After turning this photo black and white and adjusted the colour settings for shading effects I then used a wide variety of tools to get the images that you see before you. I used quick selection, quick selection, deselect, magnetic lasso, brightness/contrast and then used the colour replacement tool.

We went around college and also went outside to take a wide range of both low and high aperture shots. We made sure to use different lighting in each shot so we got a wide range of both natrual and artifical. This had an effect on the colour; in brighter shots the colour was more vibrate compared to the darker shots. Image 1: Aperture 7.1, ISO 400
